Hi everyone,
We want to inform you about a recently identified and resolved issue affecting MacOS applications deployed via Pckgr.
Following a recent update to Installomator, we discovered a bug causing application notification banners to remain persistent during installs and updates. This behaviour impacted the user experience for macOS deployments.
To address the issue promptly, we implemented a temporary workaround by pushing a version of the application script with notifications hardcoded off. Users were able to apply this fix by simply deleting and redeploying the affected applications from the Pckgr Application Library.
As a more robust and sustainable resolution, we have now rolled back to the previous stable version of Installomator (10.7) and deployed this to all current deployments in Pckgr. This resolves the issue with the notifications. We will continue using this version until a new release of Installomator is published, thoroughly tested, and confirmed to resolve the issue.
For more information on how Pckgr implements an integration with Installomator to push MacOS application updates through your Intune tenant, please visit our online documentation regarding our MacOS repository: https://docs.intunepckgr.com/getting-started/creating-deployments/repositories/macos
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we worked through this. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance with redeployment.
Thanks,
The Pckgr Team
